Howdy! My name is Travis Koch. At the age of 13, more than 25 years ago, (it seemed like yesterday) I started working with my dad’s construction business. Almost immediately after I started working with him, he decided to focus exclusively on acoustical soundproofing. At that time there were very few products to choose from, and nobody else really focused on this niche industry.

One of my most memorable experiences about working with my father at such a young age was how intense he was about perfection. He required every little detail to be spot on. As a young boy, I found it difficult to live up to his standards. Little did I know that he was grooming me to strive for the same. High attention to detail is responsible for my father’s 25 years of success, and my company is following in his massive footsteps.

Custom Soundproofing A Room

Several years ago I moved to Fort Worth with my wife and kids. We absolutely love it here. When we each bought Buc-ees shirts, I knew we were home.

I started my own soundproofing service company, separate from my father’s, as soon as I arrived…and then I realized something very interesting. Demanding high standards and nitpicking every tiny detail made it difficult for me and for my father to hire others. We work with expensive materials and fabric and there’s little room for error. To this day we struggle to find folks willing to work to our standards.

As a solution…my brother and I regularly travel to Colorado to assist my father with his projects, and if needed…they are willing to travel here to Texas for my projects. The downside for us is that we’re stuck doing 100% of the work, but the positive side for you is that you get the absolute best…(perhaps in the country)…working on your project.
